The jury says:
Sublime! -Arun
Astounding singing. Music - almost unplugged, the lyrics depict the thirst of the hopeless. -Shashi
Rekha, though I like her a lot, should work on her enunciations. -Neha
What a song. Jazz rhythm, loungy feel, amazing guitar, piano, music bells, bass and RB's voice - just mesmerizing. There are places where she is a bit pitchy but that adds a raw beauty to the song. Auto-tuning it would have killed the song. In fact, very little reverb (almost non-existent) and no delay in the vocal is so essential for the feel of this song. In short - Perfect! Just my kind of song. -Pranav
गिटार का इस्तेमाल देखें. और रेखा की आवाज़ में शास्त्रीय संगीत सी पवित्रता भी. -मिहिर
Rekha is spell binding in this song. Rustic, soft, and wonderful lyrics. -Sowmya
Vishal is one of the very few composers who really “gets” Gulzar. His tune for these words (“वो जो बहते थे आबशार, कहाँ?” AAH!) is delivered beautifully by Rekha. -UVR
A slightly different Rekha Bharadwaj than usual and is most welcome. A song to be heard at low volumes with earphones while soaking in the words. -Gajendra
