Beautiful melody and Orunima's voice is a revealation. Emotional yet controlled, she single-handedly takes this song several notches up!. -Megha
For an obvious and unabashed reimagining of the motif of Vishal Bhardwaj’s “o saathi re“ (Omkara), I thought this was a rather well put-together effort. The song is remimiscent of Gulzar-type imagery lyrically, and of VB-type constructs music composition-wise. Singing, I actually liked the Armaan Malik male tandem version a lot more. But overall a very nice song and one that I’d unhesitatingly listen to again and again. -UVR
This song joins the list of lovely songs Gaurav Dagaonkar comes up with every now and then. For some reason, he continues to have a limited repertoire and stays under the radar. -Param
Todi (Gurjari, I think) stamp all over. -Nishant
Reminds me of "O saathi re" from Omkara. Has the same leisurely feel to it. Would have been better with less synthesized music. Liked the vocals. -Shalini Razdan
A mix between Jog and Gurjari Todi, can't quite put my finger on it, but the antara is the real magic. Unpredictable notes. Effortless singing by a non-playback-ish voice. Love. -Meera
Voice has weight but is still quite pleasant and fluid - Jog base gives song a wistful quality. -Sanjeev
Composer Gaurav Dagaonkar delivers his career-best work in this raag jog based piece, and Orunima Bhattacharya does an incredible rendition of Ghalib Asad Bhopali's fine verse. -Vipin
. -Yunus
I really wanted to like it, but the lyrics could have been less predictable. -Arun Simha
In Barfani, Gaurav uses Jog raaga beautifully to create a deeply involving melody that’s a throwback to an earlier time. -Karthik
A true gem!. -Shalini Ramachandran
Beautiful lyrics by Ghalib Asad Bhopali and Orunima’s powerful voice are highlights. Music is unobtrusive with some nice use of guitars. -Vaishali
