O saathi mere from TWMR is a good composition. Yes, Rahman-isque. Changing it’s gears from time to time. But what it lacks is Rahman's finesse or finishing touch. Sonu has sung it beautifully, but what was the need to use his processed voice at places (esp very beginning of the song) when we all know Sonu’s natural voice is so good. The strings add a degree of grandiosity to the track. Sonu Nigam who I haven't heard much of late is a welcome voice (notwithstanding the typical way he carries the song). The tune is melodic and worth a second listen. -Subrat
