A spiritual journey song. A duet with life. Safarnama is filled with guitars, subtle accordion, and Irshad Kamil’s beautiful words. Lucky Ali’s singing is somewhat less appealing. In a parallel world, Safarnama would have been sung by Rahman himself. Irshad writes profound, self-reflective lines.

You can't find a lot of faults in the song - the tune is wonderful, the arrangement is good, guitars and mandolin doing the heavy lifting and Lucky Ali who is a specialist in songs of Safar behind the mic. But there isn't an extra bit that could raise it to something spectacular. The whole album aspires to be a Rockstar but falls short. -Subrat
