Lyricist throws in everything and the kitchen sink. -Ashok
Meh. All Sukhwinder's energy cannot rescue this song. -UVR
Interesting concept that covers a lot of ground in style and content. Not very satisfying as an audio-only experience, but works well in the film. -Aditya
Excellent example of high energy. -Abhay
The song plays out like a stage play. There are stories within stories ranging from India to Greece aided by a fanciful narration and music. The song jumps from one place to another as the narrative unfolds through Irshad Kamil’s words. There is a flute prelude, Sukhvinder’s racy vocals, strings section playing raag Kedar-ish bits, mythological references, elaborate chorus, Haricharan-Haripriya’s gentle, low notes. The whole concoction is arranged by Rahman with multiple highs and lows. It’s a treat for listeners. -Mihir M
I liked the flow of this song and was very relatable to the shakespearan style of the movie. -Sowmya
Sukhvinder reaches such lows that not even the other two singers can salvage this. -Ketan
It has a grand sweep and it sort of tries to sum up the whole movie into a single song. But as a song it doesn't compel repeat listening. It is disjointed and it gives you feeling that something grand is being attempted but falling short. -Subrat
