I like the minimalistic accompanying music as Shankar starts off the song. Kumaar sounds like he's trying to pull a Gulzar/Yogesh with the lyrics. Not an easy thing to do, but he acquits himself reasonably well, I think. -UVR
Predictable. Boring. -Subrat
Pleasant change to hear SEL and Shankar. A beautiful song, with some good music, and a good use of strings and percussion. -Sowmya
This is a “Shankar Mahadevan” song all the way. From start to finish, his singing rises above the composition making the song more appealing. I love the antaras and particularly the way Shankar sings the cross line which takes you back to the mukhda. SEL keep the soft rock treatment for this melancholic number. There is also a nice guitar piece in the second interlude. -Mihir M
Good singing by Shankar Mahadevan, good lyrics, still a very ordinary song. -Abhay
Am a little disappointed that S-E-L has such insipid music. This is like eating pizza without the cheese. -Ketan
Competent, but that's par only. -Ashok
Singing in this song was very uninspiring…rasika had hardly anything to sing.. :(. -Neha
