It's a mess. Should be "hogii"? -Ashok
Flashes of good music, good lyrics, good singing but it is not consistently present throught the song. -Ketan
It does not belong in this list. -Abhay
Playful song. -Sunil
The fakeeraana part by Javed Bashir makes it a better listen. -Pavan
Hawaizaada is one of the underrated albums of the year. It has gone into oblivion because of the film’s fate. It had some happy-go-lucky, charming songs and Rochak Kohli’s Daak ticket being one of them. This is a song about aspirations and immense passion of the film’s protagonist for flying an aircraft. The lyrics by Vibhu Puri are spot on. I love how he describes the dreams of Mr. Talpade - a guy from Girgaum/South Mumbai area (hub for Irani cafes) through the lines -
सूरज के साथ चबायेंगे खारी-खस्ता, bun-maska
चंदा जी को भी लगायेंगे cutting-chai का चसका !
To top it all, this sweet, adorable song has been sung by Mohit Chauhan. Sone pe suhaga.
(Pet peeve: There is Kuch toh hua hai (KHNH) hangover in music pieces that appear in between.). -Mihir M
Like the simile of 'daak ticket zaari hogi' to being famous. The song is interesting enough for you to listen a couple of times. Mohit Chauhan is in fine form (equals less nasal). -Subrat
Yet another one that came to attention!. -Neha
Nice to hear Mohit Chauhan make a comeback. A very uplifting song. Javed and Mohit have done a splendid job with the vocals. Music is passable. -Sowmya
Gimmicky song totally anachronistic with the timeframe depicted in the film. -Aditya
