Is this an attempt at Jazz? It's a mess. -Abhay
Once again, I wish I was judging costumes, cinematography and set decoration. The music is different, but being different is not enough, you actually have to be good. -Armeen
In some years, Berklee College of Music will offer a "Composing Classic Jazz Songs for Bollywood 101" course, and Amit Trivedi will feature prominently in the study materials with this song, mohabbat buri bimari, ka kha ga, naak pe gussa, et cetera. -UVR
Shefali is a wonderful addition to this otherwise over-architected song. -Sowmya
Very different, i like! singer not so much. -Neha
Interesting, unusual and experimental. Shefali Alvares manages to do justice to the sultriness required here. -Ketan
While the whole album is lush, this is my personal favorite. The orchestration is spot on, there's harmony, the song switches rhythm often, the singing is pat all times and the lyrics are zany. What's not to like? -Subrat
Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics for the song are as relevant today as they were back in the era of the film. They are both funny and hard-hitting, hillarious and though-provoking. -Vikas
गाने के पहले प्रील्यूड का जॉज़ संगीत झुमा देता है। -मनीष
Fantastic prelude starting with clarinet and slowly joined by brass-heavy orchestra. Amit Trivedi kickstarts the album on a high note. This 9-minutes song, sung marvelously by Shefali provides a worthy introduction to the jazz world of Bombay Velvet. Amitabh’s lyrics nod to the prohibition era. “Pyar mein thenga, bar mein thenga, inki botal bhi goron ki ghulam hai”. -Mihir M
Quirky lyrics, music sets the night club ambience very well, Raveena owns the song on screen. -Aditya
A Scathing jazzy take on the common man’s situation. -Vinayakam
Long by today's standards. In keeping with the club scene. Lovely prelude 3:25 min long. -Sunil
Interesting enough, I suppose. -Ashok
Excellent prelude and final music piece. -Archana
Shefali Alvares soars the song with her full throttle singing. -Shivani
