Shreya makes it a good listen but the song becomes tiring in multiple listening. -Pavan
Shreya sounds strained at the higher pitches. Otherwise the song would have been better than it sounds. -Ketan
Shreya Ghoshal sounds amazingly beautiful in base notes, wonderful composition by SLB. -Shivani
औसत बोलों व धुन के बावजूद श्रेया की आवाज़ और गीत के अंतिम हिस्से में में सससा सारा की सरगम गीत अपनी ओर ध्यान खींचता है। -मनीष
If there is a song in this film that virtually SCREAMS(!) "I am a Sanjay Leela Bhansali song", it is this. It's a quintessentially SLB song, cast in the same mould as "silsila yeh chaahat kaa" from Devdas (2012). And just as that song was, you expect this song, too, to be sung by Shreya, it is so Shreya Ghoshal-ish a song. And of course she does sing it. And how. SLB sets out to create a song that SOUNDS visually stunning, and succeeds to a great extent. -UVR
This is a beautiful song, but taken out of the opulence created by SLB in the video, it will be an easily glossed over number. -Sowmya
Good rhythm arrangement by Nitin shankar. The overall arrangement captures the grandeur needed for the setting in the film. Shreya shines. The melody has a familiar feel to it. The supporting vocals are good. -Sunil
The song begins with a Marathi ‘Powada' (ballad sung in narration style) sung by Ganesh, which describes the “Apsara” who has landed in Peshwa Bajiao’s darbar. Then the Persian style music starts (mandolin?) making the way for Shreya to take center stage. Her rendition is immaculate replete with all the nuances. Finally, the song culminates into a qawwali-sque flavor. Fantastic job by SLB. -Mihir M
The opening was so cool, then shreya comes in!. -Neha
I like the song - from the marathi folk beginning annoucing the arrival, to Shreya's singing, the mandolin piece and the gentle changes through the song (didn't anticipate that 'sab noor noor sa bikhra hai'. Lyrics are adequate with a lot of tuk-bandi that gets a bit tiring by the end. -Subrat
At least has some melody. Sung very well. -Abhay
Visually stunning, but works beautifully as an audio-only experience as well. The tune and structure is quintessentially SLB. Marathi folk and qawwali bookending the main song makes it quite interesting. -Aditya
Lovely song. The video is also well done. -Vinayakam
