Lovely 'repurposing' of traditional lyrics. One of the best compositions of the year for me. -Sunil
SLB adapts traditional bandish ‘Albela sajan aayo re’ in a different raaga. It’s being used here to welcome the Peshwa warrior back home after a victory. Nice twist that is. The song is dominated with a horde of instruments and superb chorus. With traditional Marathi ‘Tutari' (trumpet-kind-instrument) kickstarting the song, there is also ‘Shankh’, Shehnai and beautiful Sitar. There are many ‘highs’ owing to the celebratory, jubilant mood of the song. Words also capture the essence of the song well. अंग सुगंधित मन आनंदित, चहु और रंग बरसायो रे.. . -Mihir M
SLB's second attempt at the bandish after HDDCS. -Vibhendu
I like Albela Sajan of HDDCS and while I didn't find anything terrible about this version, I won't go for multiple plays on this. The shehnai is good and the drums et al are in the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony mode. -Subrat
The "Sookh" is contextually endearing but jarring at the same time and prevents this song from going above the very good… I have dinged singing though to be fair that is a music-lyrics combo issue. Generally I found the lyrics on this one very very good, tending to exceptional. -Archana
Brilliant composition and orchestration. -Ketan
Nicely done. Did not try to add anything and mess it up. -Vinayakam
A little noisy..but still festive!. -Neha
The most interesting part of this song is the setting of its main tune (predominantly) to Raag Deshkar. -UVR
