Jury comments
Lovely tune by Abhishek Ray which seems heavily inspired by Salil's "Jhana na jhan na na baaje" sung by Dhananjay Bhattacharya (Bengali) & Lata (Hindi). Shreya does a great job in bringing out the essence of the tune. Where she falls a bit short is bringing in the sauciness in her voice. She could learn a thing or two about seduction from Asha in "Raat Akeli hai" (Jewel Thief). -Ketan
Love the song right from the time I first heard it in the promos. Lovely interludes. -Aditya
Interesting orchestration and not a bad tune overall, but Shreya Ghoshal needs to improve her technique in songs that stay in the higher register. Her weightless voice infused with all that saccharine sweetness just doesn't work up there. -Armeen
-Manish
The opening and arrangements complementing the voice make this traditionally structured song a joy to listen. -George
Shreya sounds amazing here. Spunky and emoting. Like the fact that the music is kept at a minimum and the focus is on singing. -Sowmya
How many such songs has Shreya sung this year? Minimal instrumentation that allows her voice and the melody to carry the song through. -Subrat
The retro flavor has been employed very well in this song, though not without evoking memories of other songs. -Vipin
-Pavan
Pleasant tune/song - but hauntingly heard-before feel to it. Shreya seems to have cornered songs of this style. The strings bass and violins give it a more contemporary feel and tabla complement is welcome. Love it. -Shashi
