Mohit Chauhan is a leading reason why Rockstar fails. He sounds desperate to fill the space vacated by Kumar 'Nasu'. His singing seems more about making noises and barring one or two numbers, the melody is simply not there for us to gloss over his obvious shortcomings. The tune sounds very similar to the tunes "Jaana" and/or "Zindagi' from Biddu's 'Star', which had much better music and despite a raw Zoheb Hassan, sounded better. The entire soundtrack is an amateurish, lazy, and ill-conceived output from Rahman. -Ketan
