Jury comments
Perhaps there is some truth in the belief that a qawwaalii is special for Rahman; here he takes the conventional elements, tosses in the guitar in keeping with the character on-screen and gives us a fusion of elements that only augments the trance of the song; the panning phrase on the guitar is just one of the many delectable additions to the song. -George
Easily the best song of the year with ARR's devout tune and orchestration, and a spot-on rendition by the trio. -Vipin
There's god and you know he's there because divine inspiration can be the only source for such a track. -Subrat
It's a good Rehman song but nothing to write home about. -Sowmya
Pleasant composition with light yet effective orchestration. Very glad Rahman decided not to keep the singing all to himself. -Armeen
-Pavan
The harmonium and vocals are good. Interesting rhythm - qawwali style, steady clapping beat. Mohit Chauhan can do better. -Malini
A great song. One gets completely lost in the song. If only Rahman did something about his Urdu pronunciation before singing such songs! -Aditya
Another devotional - one hopes ARR does not deliver a Khwaja soundalike again. But this one turns pleasant - ARR seems to have found his niche. -Shashi
Solitude. -Mihir
I cut one point the moment ARR came on in the song and it went down from there. Rahman needs to get off the pedal on the Sufi song madness that he has been on. Not every soundtrack need or every voice can sing Sufi songs. -Ketan
-Manish
