Jury comments
Was there another song in 2011 that best exemplified Amit Trivedi's love for onomatopoeia and the sounds of words? Amitabh Bhattacharya helps out with an incessant volley of rhyme that never seems to sound false while Amit Trivedi merrily picks from disco, club and rock to embellish the song. -George
Despite some interesting metaphors, the lyrics are too gimmicky. What on earth are jhagdali, nakhrali, namkeeni! -Aditya
-Pavan
Too many 'item numbers' in the set this year. This is just one more, even if appropriate in the movie. -Armeen
Interesting song in term of experimentation in the instrumentation and the rhythm. -Subrat
Amit Trivedi is fast moving to become the 'haT ke' composer. This one has some interesting lyrics that might raise eyebrows. The music arrangement is spotty - great street beats in parts and lame electronic beats in other areas. What makes the song noticeable is the singing - each singer has performed commendable - with energy. -Shashi
Foot tapping music that is definitely worth a second listen. -Ketan
Is a fun song. Loved the crass lyrics that adds to the interest level. Sounds a little from the 60's/70's (Abba/Beatles). No razzle dazzle in the singing though. A high score for Amit! -Sowmya
Very quirky lyrics and a reliable set of vocals in a rock template. -Vipin
